Contact

Hello, I’m Robert Luckey. I am a junior majoring in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. I’m preparing for a leadership career in agriculture and natural resource industries by combining real-world experience with strategic education. My background includes coordinating global logistics for mining operations at Freeport McMoRan, supporting warehouse logistics at Cactus Wellhead, and leading conservation-related land and water projects in Arizona. I hold a Class A CDL, speak fluent Indonesian, and have worked with cross-functional teams from the field to the corporate level. I stay active in finance, logistics, and investing clubs to strengthen my decision-making and operational insight. My long-term goal is to lead large-scale teams in executing efficient, high-impact operations, and I’m currently seeking internship opportunities where I can contribute and grow within mission-driven organizations in the natural resources or agricultural space.

Personal Reputation Analysis

My professional and personal growth has been shaped by both reflection and results. Core values like hard work, adaptability, integrity, and planning continue to guide my decisions, but team feedback and behavioral assessments pushed me to recognize gaps between how I see myself and how I’m perceived. My analytical communication style, while effective for problem-solving, led to lower responsiveness scores and the need to improve in collaboration and openness. Feedback from peers revealed that while I was putting in effort, it wasn’t always translating into trust or consistent contributions. In response, I’ve committed to clearer communication, better preparation, and being more receptive to team dynamics. As a result, I’ve delivered stronger presentations, taken more initiative, and started closing the gap between intention and impact. My evolving professional identity now reflects not just a capable operator, but someone growing into a more connected, accountable, and leadership-ready team member.

My Background

Examples of Experience

At Freeport McMoRan, I played a important role as a project buyer/expeditor in supporting global supply chain operations by expediting and procuring important resources using  programs such as SAP. I also ensured smooth coordination across international projects, mainly with plant expansion in the Gersing smelter,  and Grasberg mine in Indonesia. This experience enhanced my technical proficiency in enterprise resource planning and documentation systems, and I earned certifications in proficiency in both SAP and Aconex, strengthening my ability to manage logistics, vendor communication, and project workflows in complex operational environments.

This is a proposed business plan of my financial dream which is opening up a large ranch operation which emphasis strategic planning, resource coordination, and sustainable production practices all key pennants to operations and logistics. Developing this plan demonstrates my understanding of supply chain logistics in agriculture, but also shows your commitment to applying OSCM principles like inventory control, transportation planning, and long-term scalability in a real-world, high-stakes industry.
